If the glaciers in places like Antarctica started to melt because of global warming, it would definitly effect the shoreline and us. When the glaciers and ice melt, that would cause the water levels all over the world to rise which would cover part of the shoreline. I heard that in about 100 years part of the outer banks is predicted to be covered by water. This would be very bad and effect us because it would take away some of our homes.
If by global warming or other disaster, the glaciers melted, I believe that shoreline water levels would rise dramatically. Below sea level cities would be flooded, and population would decrease. Many people would flock to cities and increase pollution, or build on farmland.
I believe that if the glaciers were to melt the sea level will rise rapidly. Glaciers are huge and filled with water, so if they were to melt, then that would just ad more water. The shorelines will start to be taken over by the tides and also more fish will be getting washed up. It would affect us because we are already below sea level as a city, so when it flood, we would really have a problem.
If the glaciers were to melt, it would decrease the size of the shoreline. The water from the glaciers would rise onto land. It would effect us a lot. The rise in water could cause damage to buildings and houses with low elevation. The rise could also cause pollution and possibly plant growth from that pollution. It would cause areas to be crouded because people would move there. Crops could be damaged also.
I believe that when they melt this will cause the sea level in every ocean arcoss the world to raise and to cover a good portion of our land. Remmeber the apple example? Our Earth is already made of 90% of water and gobal warming would just make this percentage to rise. If the sea level continues to rise it could destroy buildings and valueable farmland.
I think that if all of the glaciers melt, then all of the shorelines and the cities around them will become completely flooded. Other cities will become the coast line and there will be a smaller land mass which means less living spaces for people. Like we need that..
If the glaciers melted our shorelines would be drawn back. Alout of land mass would become flooded around the world and population in other areas would increase.
If the glaciers melted the rising seas would severely impact the United States. Small Islands and coastal areas would definitely be flooded; no questions asked.
I think the water level would rise tremendously. Especially in our low land, it would be flooded very bad. The houses would probably be under water, along with a lot of other things.
The shoreline would rise alot. Elizabeth City would probably beome part of the ocean and the water might be a little colder. The water might rise so much that the earths oceans might become 75% of all earth

ReplyDeleteIf the glaciers began to melt, the water would begin to flow onto the shorelines. This would cause flooding on our beaches and even in our towns.
ReplyDeleteThere would be major flooding if the glaciers melted. Cities and small towns would be washed out!
